Multiple applications where optical fiber is exposed to electrical and electrical radiation ,such as nuclear power plants, nuclear storage facilities, space applications, and some research facilities, such as the hadron collider or other high-energy physics/particle accelerators of the European Nuclear Research Center. The fiber core has single-mode and multi-mode fibers, specifically designed for electrical radiation the impact is minimal. These fibers are used for communication links through such environments, as well as for various sensing applications such as distributed temperature sensing (DTS) and strain sensing. Ideal products for nuclear environments include pure silicon core single-mode and grading index pure core multi-mode.
